Warren Dorn and Barbara Liles

Warren Dorn and Barbara Liles
Warren Dorn and Barbara Liles met in 1984 while living in the same apartment building in Oak Park, Ill. Warren, a Chicago businessman, retired in 2001 so he could trade his suits in for sweatpants. Barbara retired from teaching and coaching in 2009. Together, they also owned a field hockey business for over two decades.

Three years ago, they sold the business and moved to Galena full-time to retire and become active members of that community. The couple has been married for more than 30 years.

Warren and Barbara enjoy and treasure many public television programs such as PBS NewsHour, Here and Now, Wisconsin Life, British dramas and comedies, Independent Lens and NOVA.

After attending a wealth-planning seminar, Warren and Barbara were inspired to think about the types of organizations that reflect their passions, values and goals. Since they appreciate the news coverage on public television, they decided to include PBS Wisconsin in their estate plans.

"We want public broadcasting to continue. We trust PBS Wisconsin to be responsible stewards by continuing to provide in-depth reporting and unbiased information that makes you think," Warren shared.

The impact of Warren and Barbara's gift will be felt long into the future. In the meantime, we will continue to do the work and exemplify the values and behaviors that earned the confidence they are vesting in us." - Malcolm Brett, past director Wisconsin Public Media.
